A man was killed and two others seriously injured in a head-on collision between a heavy duty van and a truck on the R46 near Tulbagh.
|||Tulbagh, Western Cape - A man was killed and two others seriously injured in a head-on collision between a heavy duty van and a truck on the R46 near Tulbagh on Monday, said Western Cape emergency medical services.
Spokeswoman Keri Davids said the crash happened at 11.30am and the rescue took three hours.
The driver of the van had to be removed from the wreckage with a crane and hydraulic equipment, but was declared dead at the scene shortly afterwards.
The truck driver had a serious head injury, and his passenger had an injured arm. - Sapa
