|||Johannesburg - A 27-year-old constable has died in hospital after being shot and wounded in Hout Bay, Western Cape police said on Sunday.
“I can confirm that he died in hospital on Saturday,” said Captain Frederick van Wyk.
On Friday, the constable was on duty in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay, with another constable, aged 26, when they were shot.
The woman constable was declared dead on the scene, provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Arno Lamoer said on Saturday. - Sapa
