Members of the police’s flying squad arrested the 36-year-old man on Tuesday night following an intelligence -driven operation.
Police spokesman FC van Wyk explains the man was arrested while driving a BMW 120i that had been reported stolen in Paarl.
“After interviewing the suspect, he took police to his business premises in Lotus River,” says Van Wyk.
“It was established that the premises is used as a second-hand dealer and scrapyard.”
He says four cars, a silver BMW 1 Series, a blue Fiat Uno, a white Toyota Corolla and the engine of a Honda Civic found on the premises were all reported stolen during 2011. - Daily Voice
