Sources say a dad accused of killing a man outside his children’s school did it to protect himself.

Leon Williams appeared in the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court on Thursday for the murder of 36-year-old Rashied Moses.
Sources claim Moses was a top ranking member of the Hard Livings gang.
He was gunned down outside St George’s Grammar School on Tuesday afternoon.
Moses had gone with his girlfriend – Williams’ ex-wife – to fetch her daughter at the school.
Police claim Williams shot Moses during a heated argument outside the school’s gates.
But a source close to Williams’ family says it was a case of kill or be killed.
“The Hard Livings put a hit out on Williams’ life a while ago,” the source tells the Daily Voice.
“It all began when his wife started having an affair with Moses and when he found out that she was jolling, he left her.
“He gave her two cars – a Rav 4 and a Mini Cooper S – and he gave her their family home in Surrey Estate.
“Then he found out that gang members were seen driving his cars and the cars were still in his name so he took it all back and decided to divorce her.
“He took the house and stuff back and filed for custody of both their children but she kept their daughter.”
The source explains Williams was being followed and he even found a bomb planted in front of his house.
“On Tuesday he went to fetch his son at school and the ex was also there with the boyfriend,” says the source.
“Rashied got involved in the argument and when he told [Williams]: ‘Ek gaan jou nou wys(I am going to show you now)’ and put his hand in his pocket, Williams just reacted,” says the source.
On Thursday prosecutor Kepler Uys told the court Williams allegedly shot Moses three times, once in the head and twice in the body.
“The State at this stage is opposing bail,” Uys told the court.
“The ex-wife fears for her life and it is alleged that the accused is a gang member.”
Williams’ lawyer John Riley told the court his client was not a member of any gang.
“And as for the ex-wife, I can categorically say that he has deliberately not had any contact with her and she has no reason to fear for her life,” said Riley.
Magistrate Marietjie van Eeden postponed the case to next week so that the State can investigate whether Williams is connected to any gang before deciding on if he will get bail or not.
