Two teenage boys are to appear in court for the stabbing and murder of a 16-year-old boy.
|||Two teenage boys are to appear in the Bishop Lavis Magistrate's Court on Wednesday over the stabbing and murder of a 16-year-old boy, Western Cape police said.
Lieutenant-Colonel Andrè Traut said the boys, also aged 16, were arrested after a Valhalla Park pupil was killed in a school yard argument on Tuesday.
He said they were being assessed before their appearance because they were minors.
The victim was Raylin Fortuin, a grade 9 pupil at Beauvallon Secondary School, said provincial education MEC Donald Grant's spokeswoman Bronagh Casey.
Traut said a third 16-year-old involved in the argument was being treated in hospital and would make a court appearance at a later stage. – Sapa
