A man was killed in Knysna when he fell off rocks into the sea while fishing.
|||A man was killed in Knysna when he fell off rocks into the sea while fishing, the National Sea Rescue Institute said on Thursday.
Spokesman Craig Lambinon said witnesses saw the man fall backwards into the water while fishing in Buffalo Bay on Wednesday.
Bystanders managed to get to the man and dragged him out of the water onto the rocks, but he appeared lifeless.
“Waves crashing over rocks were hampering efforts to get the body to shore.”
He was eventually brought back, but died on the scene. The cause of death was not immediately clear. – Sapa
