|||Eight women were taken to hospital on Wednesday following a suspected gas leak at a furniture factory in Epping, Cape Town, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) said.
“Testing done by the local fire and rescue crew revealed there were no gas substances present in the factory and the scene was declared safe,” said EMS spokeswoman Keri Davids.
She said eight women who complained of tight chests and nausea were treated on the scene with oxygen.
“The women were taken by ambulance to the N1 City Hospital for further treatment,” Davids said. - Sapa
